Braza Grill

Business Background:

After selling his import store, J.R. Lopez opened Braza Grill Brazilian Steakhouse, with locations in Murray and Layton. A third location at Jordan Commons didn't make it, but Main Street is off to a promising start.

Why Main Street?

J.R. believies that Main Street is an ideal location to test his concept of fast Brazilian food.

Niche on Main Street?

Braza Express is a churrascaria modeled after barbeque restaurants in Lopez's homeland, with a buffet of hot and cold foods and meats hot off the grill.

Est. 2009 | November

Braza Express is a lively restaurant with cheerful employees and great food. The restaurant already has the sense of order and permanance that is signature to most chain restaurants. But unlike any chain restaurant, owner J.R. Lopez and his daughter can been seen working side-by-side during lunch rushes. Lopez is an immigrant from Brazil who realizes that the U.S. is fertile ground for sprouting good ideas with a lot of hard work.

Lopez originally opened an import store called Made in Brazil. Lopez's store did so well he expanded it to include some food offerings. Eventually everyone started coming for his food, and the imported products became secondary. After selling his import store he opened the first Braza Grill.
