Kevin Kirk is just your average mild mannered, easy going Utahn. He just happens to have long hair, thick side burns and tattoos all over his arms and the motto of his business is: "Peddling evil for 20 years". Kirk's "Heavy Metal Shop" brand became an instant hit in the 80s, and is still well known and distributed internationally. Kirk says he sells over 100 of his tee-shirts from his mySpace page that he distributes all over the world.

Although The Heavy Metal shop is probably less tham 1000 square feet, it includes a small stage where Kirk invites national touring acts to perform live shows. Kirk's photo gallery includes famous metal and rock ledgends over the past 20 years: Kirk with with the likes of Alice Cooper, Megadeth's Dave Mustain, and Ozzy Osbourn.

Kirk has made a business out of partying like a rock star. He is a testament to the fact that you can do anything you want in this world as long as you have passion and have something to fall back on when money is tight. Kirk works as a butcher at a local gocery store to make ends meet.

Kirk's small stage recently hosted The Earps, Justin Townes Earle & James Hunnicutt. Kirk has more performances lined up throughout the summer. Visit Kirk's store online myspace page for more.
