The Kimball Arts Park City Art festival has indeed become a national attraction. Like the Sundance Film Festival held in these streets in the middle of winter, this festival has become renound attracting artists from California, Arizona and several from as far away as Florida.

Only a handful of the very best Utah artists can be found here including the Bellocks, who we profiled in an earlier piece. My personal favorite non-craft artist was this woman, who had the most amazing drawings of African wildlife I've seen. She sketched all of these animals from life and their realism jumps right out of the page. (I've since googled and searched by unfortunately I don't have her name, e-mail Richard@utahstories.com if you can provide details on this artist)

Here at the art festival we were amazed the variety of fine artists, glass makers, painters, and an assortment of fine craftsman. The best of show for metal sculpture went to this artist from Santa Fe New Mexico.

All in all I would recommend the Kimball arts Festival in Park City, because there is simply no other place within 300 miles to see such great art all in one place. The only recommendation we would offer to the festival providers is to lower or eliminate the $8.00 entry fee. Parking and commuting to Park City from Salt Lake City causes the trip for Salt Lake City residents to be cost prohibitive.
