The New York Times reported how The Utah State Legislature once again proved that they can’t feel like they have done their jobs unless they do some harm to local businesses who happen to sell beer and liquor. The absence of drink specials and “happy hour” make it more difficult for those who are on a budget to enjoy a drink at a bar. As a result most downtown bars have seen a decline in business, as well as a decline in tax revenue they would be paying the state. Way to go Waddoups!

The New York Times interviewed Bridget Gordon of the Green Pig Pub for their story that ran in July.
