When pondering the history of mankind's quest for longevity, it's easy to conjure up images of bearded alchemists searching for the key to immortality in the bowels of some medieval laboratory. Fortunately for us mere mortals, the easiest way to live a longer, healthier and happier life has been known for centuries, and it doesn't lie in the depths of some steaming, esoteric brew. In order to find the panacea for lifelong wellbeing, you need look no further than your local grocery store.

A balanced diet is the most ubiquitous and natural way to strengthen your health and immune system and provide energy for optimal physiological functions; all while feeling good in the process.

This is a concept that Utah local Andrea Morgan understands completely. Working on an organic farm has allowed her to eat healthier and develop an appreciation for the many benefits that eating well provides.

"I've felt healthier than I ever have in my entire life this past year," Morgan said. She went on to say that she has experienced firsthand how a balanced diet can prove integral in preventative care for cancer.

"It was indicated that I had pre-cancerous cells growing around my cervix . . . By the end of this past year the problem had gone away. The doctor asked me if I had [added] a lot of folic acid [to] my diet and I said, 'yes,' because I was eating beets just about every single day."

The doctor attributed the remission of Morgan's pre-cancerous cells to her new, more balanced, health conscious diet.

Often doctors are quick to prescribe palliative treatments that neglect the root of the problem. Eating well is the simplest and most natural way to achieve holistic health and the longevity that goes with it.
